How to Install gdm software package in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

gdm software package provides GNOME Display Manager, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install gdm 

gdm is installed in your system.

Make ensure the gdm package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gdm *

You will get with gdm package name, version, architecture and description in a table
